Calprotectin Test
What is included?
This is a laboratory-based test using a stool sample collected at home and sent to our lab. Please note that the analyser in our lab uses the same kit for Calprotectin as we use for QFIT tests, so please do not be concerned if the kit mentions QFIT - it is the correct kit.
When we report your results, you will receive the full lab report with the quantitative data - not just a positive or negative result.
How does it work?
Order your test kit online, and we will send you the sample collection kit by next day delivery. The test is supplied with full instructions on how to use it. The sample is then sent back to our lab for analysis in the prepaid envelope that we provide.
How long does it take?
If you order your test kit before the cut-off time Monday to Saturday then we will send it out to you by next day delivery for receipt the following morning. Special Delivery requires a signature, but the Royal Mail 24 Tracked shipping method can be posted through your letterbox.
You should have your results within 1 day of the sample being received by the lab.
What happens when I receive my result?
Your result will be interpreted by a doctor and they will let you know the next step.
Most patients using our service for this test panel have already be tested for Calprotectin previously, and are simply monitoring their levels. Some patients use us as we are significantly faster than the NHS in providing results.
Who is this test suitable for?
The Calprotectin test is suitable for anyone with symptoms of intestinal inflammation or who want to monitor their Calprotectin levels and want a fast results service.
