What is a Selenium Test?


The Selenium Test measures the level of Selenium in your blood. Selenium is an essential mineral for the healthy functioning of your thyroid and immune system. The test result will tell you if your levels of Selenium are too high or if there is a deficiency. Many patients use this test to measure their response to supplementation.

How does the Selenium test work?


After you place your order, we will send you a special blood collection kit that is designed for patients to use at home. The kit will be sent to arrive the next day so long as we have your order by 3 pm Monday to Friday or 11 am on a Saturday. Take your blood sample from a finger (as directed) and send the sample back to our laboratory. Testing takes 4 days. A doctor will interpret your result for you and we will provide a full PDF lab report.


Can I speak to a doctor about my results?


Yes. We have partnered with The Online Clinic where you can discuss your results with a UK licensed doctor. The Online Clinic was established in 2004 and is one of the UK's best known digital healthcare providers.
